AST advises new and established collectors on acquisitions and the development of private collections.

Sourcing extends across galleries, auction houses, artists and private collections internationally. Each potential acquisition is considered in relation to the artist’s wider practice, provenance, condition, pricing, market position and its place within the collection as a whole.

For those beginning to collect, AST provides access and context through exhibitions, galleries, artist studios, art fairs and private viewings, building knowledge alongside the collection.

AST manages negotiation, due diligence, acquisition and collection management where required.

AST is research-led and collaborative, with each collection developed in response to the collector and its evolving context.

There is no prescribed aesthetic or formula. The advisory is grounded in sustained looking, deep knowledge of artistic practice and an understanding of the market around it.

A collection develops over time. Its character emerges through the relationships between works, the circumstances in which they were acquired and the person living with them.

Working between Tokyo and Sydney, these take shape through exhibitions, commissions and collaborations with artists, galleries and cultural partners internationally.
